Hoja de Platano
Very excited to find big, green, hoja de platano. The tamales we are making on Saturday will be filled with a simple, chicken Oaxacan recipe that has been passed on for generations and is steamed in banana leaves. The rice will be Puerto Rican style, with gandules and lots of spices. Looking forward to a great time entertaining good friends, family and continuing the traditions of hosting tamales on the Dia de la Candelaria.
